The Big Creek Association is currently made up of seven churches; Mt Arrat: Cedar Grove, Tn; New Hope: Indianapolis, In; New Mt.Zion: Detroit, MI; New Jerusalem: Humboldt, Tn; New Publican: Decatur,IL; Lake Chapel: South Bend,In; Shawnee: Shawnee Mission,KS.
The Big Creek firmly believes and stands on the doctrine of election, predestination, salvation by grace. We currently celebrated our 127th session and by the help of the Good Lord we will have many more years to come.
Necrology: Elder Irvan Ward.Sr.
On March 20, 2005 the Good Lord saw fit to remove from our midst our Moderator Elder Irvan Ward. Sr.
Elder Ward served as our Moderator for over 25 years and was loved by all. You could always count on Elder Ward to uphold the "Doctrine of Election", and preach his favorite text, Titus 1:2. Elder Ward spent many years traveling up and down the road proclaming the Word of God. During his time in the Big Creek Association he pastored New Publican (Decatur,IL), Obion River (Union City, Tn) and New Hope (Indianapolis,In), where he pastored until his death.
We will miss Elder Ward, but we realize that God loved him best, and that he is now in a better place. He would often tell us "I wouldn't give up even if I saw the wolf coming", and he didn't. He has paid the debt we must all pay someday. Sleep on Elder Ward and take your rest. We loved you, but God loved you best.

Big Creek Meetings.
Brothers and Sisters Spring Seminar- Will be held Saturday before the 5th Sunday on April 28 & 29, 2007 @ New Hope PBC in Indianapolis, Indiana. Service on Saturday will begin at 1:00 p.m. Sunday service will begin at 11:00 a.m.
Union Meeting- Hosted by New Mt.Zion PBC in Detroit, Mi. Convening on the Saturday before the 4th Sunday in May ( May 26-27,2007). Elder Robert Madison Jr. will preach the introductory sermon, with Elder Howard Edwards as alternate.
Annual Association Meeting- Hosted by Lake Chapel PBC in South Bend, IN. Convening Saturday before the first Sunday in September. (August 31- September 3, 2007). Elder Randy Cook will preach the introductory sermon, with Elder Robert Madison Jr. as alternate.

Devotional Service: Service opened with Hymn #356. Prayer offered by Deacon Sam Buckley. We sang hymn #3 and Deacon Wayne Andrews offered prayer. We sang "Elect Child". Scripture reading from the book of Phillipians 4:11-13 by Elder Larry Gardner.
